In the analysis of gene expression, the synthesis of cDNA is the most important step as non-ideal reverse transcription could cause the following results: cDNA production is low, then the detection sensitivity will be impacted; cDNA fractures or shortens, then full-length cDNA gene could not be obtained. Currently, most reverse transcriptase could not obtain full-length cDNA due to the high activity and low thermostability of RNASE H. Maxcription® Reverse Transcriptase produced by BasalMedia reduces RNASE H activity greatly through genetic engineering mutation of M-MLV. This allows for better reverse transcriptional activity and higher temperature for reverse transcription to ensure a higher production yield of cDNA and more full-length cDNA.
