L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine can be used to replace L-Glutamine during cell culturing. Due to its high stability in aqueous solutions, it could provide long-term nutrient supplementation which then lowers the toxicity caused from degrading products. L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine can be used as a supplement in cell culturing of adherent or suspension cells. It can replace L-Glutamine which is present in the media without cell adaptation.
L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine contains 0.85% (W:V) NaCl.
• Minimizes toxic ammonia build-up
Unlike L-glutamine, L-Alanyl-L-glutamine does not spontaneously break down to form ammonia. Instead, cells cleave the dipeptide bond to release L-glutamine as needed. This system prevents waste build-up and maintains a fresh supply of L-glutamine during long-term culture.
• Improves cell viability and growth
Cultures with lower levels of ammonia show improved cell viability. In addition, culture conditions are more controlled due to the consistent concentration of L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine that is not possible with L-glutamine.
• Remains stable across a wide range of temperatures
L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine is room-temperature stable and ready to use. It retains full functionality for 24 months at room temperature, 2 to 8°C, or -5 to -30°C for convenient storage and handling. This product is even stable at 37°C for a week or more.
The product is prepared using water-for-injection.
This product is only used for scientific research and production, tissue and cell culture in vitro. It is prohibited for clinical use.
