VirusPro™ MSVP Serum-Free Medium is an animal origin-free and protein free medium with vegetable hydrolysate and is suitable for various mammalian cells adherent cultivation. Extra protein component is not needed when using this medium, furthermore, culturing vessel surfaces do not need to be pre-treated. VirusPro™ MSVP Serum-Free Medium is mainly used for virus amplification and vaccine production. With better culturing ability compared to traditional culturing media, risk of introducing exogenous virus can be lowered to the least extent.
With respect to other serum-free media, the most remarkable trait of this product is the multifunctionality of the medium as it can culture various kidney epithelial cell lines to increase the amplification of virus titer. Cell lines including MDCK, VERO, MARC 145, ST, PK-15, MDBK, HEp2, BHK-21, COS-7 and Hela cells can be cultured in this medium.
We recommend that during vaccine production, except for Vero cells, all other cells can add 1~2% serum according to the situations.
The product is prepared using water-for-injection.
