Product Description

GS system uses glutamine synthetase (GS) gene as the marker on mammalian cells and as a selective marker for the expression of recombinant proteins within NS0 and CHO cells in particular. This system displayed a significant advantage in screening speed and productivity during the construction of cells, which allows for higher number of antibodies and better production rate of other recombinant proteins to be obtained.
Cell lines transfected with GS gene plasmids could be screened by their growth ability in glutamine-free media. DMEM, GMEM and IMDM without L-Glutamine, L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine and various propylene peptides can be used to culture NS0 for GS expression systems and CHO cells. GS supplement (a mixture of some amino acids and ribonucleosides) and dialyzed fetal bovine serum are needed to be added to the media during culturing.
The product is prepared using water-for-injection.
This product is only used for scientific research and production, tissue and cell culture in vitro. It is prohibited for clinical use.
