Product Description

IPTG is an inducer of β-galactosidase activity. Due to the αcomplementary of β-galactosidase, when X-gal and IPTG are added to plating medium during the transformation of pUC series carrier DNA(or other carrier DNA containing lacZ gene) using lacZ-deficient cells as hosts or during transfection using M13 phage carrier DNA, recombinant genes can be easily selected by whether white colonies exist or not. Furthermore, it can also be used as an expression inducer for expression vectors with promoters such as lac or tac.
This product is only used for scientific research and production, tissue and cell culture in vitro. It is prohibited for clinical use.
