用于原核和真核细胞的选择性抗生素，也可用于植物的转化作用。筛选潮霉素B抗性细胞的原理基于含有潮霉素B抗性基因的细胞可表达一种激酶，通过磷酸化方式灭活潮霉素。低纯度的潮霉素可导致不同的毒性作用，从而使筛选实验失败，因此其纯度是至关重要。

潮霉素在植物的转化中也可作为一种选择性标记物使用。

本产品使用注射用水（Water-For-Injection）配制。

本产品供科学研究使用，用于组织和细胞的体外培养。禁止临床使用。
